Police re-issue appeal in hunt for David Taggart
Police in Lisburn have re-issued their appeal for information concerning the whereabouts of 24-year-old man who absconded from court last week.
David Taggart, who is described by police as a 'high risk' prisoner, escaped from Lisburn Courthouse last Tuesday.
DCU Commander for Lisburn Chief Superintendent Ken Henning said: “I would appeal to anyone with information about the whereabouts of Mr Taggart to inform police immediately.
“I would also urge anyone who is protecting him to hand him in to police as anyone who is shielding Mr Taggart is also committing an offence. I would also appeal directly to Mr Taggart to turn himself into police.”
Taggart is described as 5’ 9" tall and of medium build with blue eyes, with a fresh complexion and short dirty fair hair and ginger stubble around his chin.
Anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to dial 999 or use the confidential Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
