Sellers warned to be wary of telephone callers
Detectives in Fermanagh are advising people selling their cars to be wary of unsolicited calls offering help with the sale.
The advice follows an incident in which a local man advertised his car in a specialist magazine and was then phoned by an unconnected company that said it could help sell the car, and asked for credit card details.
Constable Hazel Gray, the Crime Prevention Officer at Enniskillen police station advised caution: "If advertising a car or other goods in a newspaper or magazine, beware of any calls from another company stating that they have spotted your advert and can help you sell your property for a fee, which you can pay by quoting your credit card details over the phone,” Constable Gray said.
“You will probably have never heard of the company and the person on the end of the phone is a stranger. Therefore, never disclose your credit card details to an unknown or untested source."

People who repay loans early will get a fairer deal under changes outlined by the government this week. Around seven-in-10 personal loans are settled early, but people often have to pay big charges - charges which the government wants to scrap.

Over 150 people have contacted the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment’s Trading Standards Service (TSS) concerned at the news that Shop Electric and Electric World stores have closed stores across Northern Ireland. Most queries relate to products bought but not delivered because of the timescale of the news.

Thirty Cars Damaged By Youths In South Belfast
PSNI are hunting for two young males who allegedly damaged thirty cars parked in the West Belfast area. The youngsters are reported to have "scratched along the entire sides of these vehicles while walking past them", causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Hatfield Bar Reopens Following Police Search
The Hatfield Bar in south Belfast has reopened following a search operation by the PSNI and customs officers. Four PSNI land rovers, a police van and three HMRC cars arrived at the Ormeau Road site just before 12 noon on Monday, 14 May.
