Police revisit scene of fatal car accident
Police have revisited the scene of a fatal road crash involving a stolen car in south Belfast.
Stephen McDaid, 17, died when the stolen car he was in collided with five other vehicles on the Boucher Road on Thursday 26th May.
Police have taken more than 30 witness statements, but want to hear from anyone who was in the area at about 8pm on the day of the incident.
Inspector James Ellson said: "It was an absolute tragedy for the McDaid family that their young son Stephen was killed. There are two other young men still critically injured at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Whatever we can do to avert any further tragedies - we would be very grateful for whatever help we can get from the community."
Two others were critically injured, and six were slightly hurt, in the crash.
Police said that the car had been hijacked from the Botanic Avenue area around 45 minutes before the incident.
The vehicle had also been used in a robbery at a filling station in Newtownabbey a short time beforehand.
