Paramilitary-style attack leaves victim in hospital

A man is being treated in hospital following a paramilitary-style attack in east Belfast on Sunday.

The 30-year-old victim was attacked by a gang who burst into a house on London Road at about 10.45pm.

Three men were seen running from a car – believed to be a silver Ford Mondeo which was later found burning in Templemore Street - in the direction of Avoneil.

Elsewhere, a man and woman have been attacked by a gang wielding baseball bats in Armagh.

Three men entered a flat in the Banbrook Hill area of the city at about 4.30 am on Sunday and assaulted the couple.

The police are still trying to establish a motive for the attack.

Three People Injured In Racist Attack
Three people have been left injured after they were attacked by a gang earlier this week. The incident, which happened at Lawnmount Street in east Belfast, is being treated as a race hate crime, police have said. Between 9pm and 9.30pm, two men in their early 20s and a 19-year-old woman were attacked by a gang of around 15 people.

Police have launched an investigation after a gang armed with bats forced their way into a house in east Belfast and attacked three teenage men. The incident happened at a property in McArthur Court at around 9am on Sunday, 31 July. The gang of four men attacked three males, two aged 18 and one aged 19.

Three men beaten in separate incidents
A teenager was abducted from his home in County Tyrone last night in what police have described as bearing the "hallmarks of a paramilitary-style attack". The 16-year-old youth was in his home in O'Nolan Park in Strabane when a masked gang entered the house at around 11.10pm.

Three Arrested After Man Dies In Stabbing Attack
Three men have been arrested following a stabbing attack in Craigavon, in the early hours of Sunday morning. The 45-year-old man was stabbed at a house in Parkmore. He was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries. The man's name has not yet been released. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Deadly Co Armagh Knife Attack Condemned
Three men are being questioned about the murder of a 21-year-old man in Portadown on Sunday. Then victim was Marc Williamson, from the Richhill area of Co Armagh. He was stabbed in Hartfield Avenue just after 4am on Sunday morning. The PSNI said that three men, aged 28, 26 and 24 have been arrested and are assisting police with their inquiries.
