Gas cylinder fire causes chaos in Cookstown
A number of schools and houses in Cookstown have been evacuated on Wednesday as fire crews deal with a gas cylinder fire.
The blaze started at a building site in Chapel Street shortly after 11am after a cylinder being used by a workman caught fire.
Two primary schools, a nursery school and a leisure centre were immediately evacuated as a precaution.
Chapel Street, Molesworth Road and Fountain Road have also been cordoned off and are likely to remain closed for several hours.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Homes Evacuated In East Belfast Factory Blaze
More than 60 people have had to be evacuated from their homes in east Belfast following a fire at a derelict factory. The fire reportedly broke out after 10pm last night at the former WJ Nelson premises in Grove Street off the Beersbridge Road. The residents have since been allowed to return.
