Detectives revisit murder scene

Detectives investigating the murder of Jonathan Graham in Newry last week have re-visited the scene of his shooting.

Mr Graham was shot and fatally wounded in the early hours of Thursday morning as he parked his car outside his home at Ardcarne Park, Newry.

One week on police re-visited the scene in an effort to speak to any pedestrians or motorists who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting.

On Tuesday, James Joseph McEvoy, 26, from Rathmore Road in Newry appeared at Armagh Magistrate's Court after being charged with Mr Graham’s murder.

A detective told the court that when charged the defendant had replied: "Definitely not guilty."

The defendant was remanded in custody until May 18.

Detectives to revisit murder scene
Detectives are to revisit the scene of last week’s murder of 25-year-old Jameson Lockhart later on Friday. There will be checkpoints on the lower Newtownards Road and Templemore Avenue in east Belfast close to where Mr Lockhart was shot dead. Detectives said they wanted to talk to motorists who were in the area last Friday morning.

Detectives revisit murder scene in County Tyrone
Detectives investigating the murder of Catholic taxi driver Barney McDonald in Donaghmore have revisited the scene exactly a week after the 52-year-old was shot. Mr McDonald who was a taxi driver was shot dead as he sat waiting for a fare in his car on Wednesday April 17 in the village of Donaghmore.

Rifle Used In Shooting May Have Been Used Before To Attack Police
The PSNI believe the AK-type assault rifle used in a shooting in north Belfast had been used before to attack police. An officer was shot at a petrol station on the Crumlin Road at around 7.30pm on Sunday, 22 January. Detectives have revisited the scene to prompt recollections of local people about what happened.
