Man dies in Newry shooting
A man has died in one of three separate gun attacks in Co Down on Thursday.
The victim, who has not yet been named, is believed to have been shot as he parked his car at a house in the nationalist Ardcarne Park area of Newry at about 1am. He died a short time later.
At the same time shots were fired at another house in the same street as well as a house in the nearby Parkhead Crescent.
Police believe all three incidents are connected but are still investigating a motive.
The exact details of the fatal murder are still not clear, however it is believed the injured man underwent emergency treatment at Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry but died a short time later, at around 6am.
The areas in question have been cordoned off as forensic experts examine the scene.

Belfast Hotel Plan Dropped: Report
A government-supported plan to build a hotel in central Belfast has been scrapped, the BBC has reported. Back in 2007, the Department for Social Development appointed Tullymore House Ltd as preferred developer for Armagh House in the city’s Ormeau Avenue, with plans to convert the building into an upmarket hotel.

Man Dies In Co.Antrim House Fire
An elderly man has died in a house fire in County Antrim last night. The man believed to be in sixties died when a fire broke out at his home on the Bush Road between Ballymoney and Dervock at around 9pm on Tuesday.
