Invest NI plan 'Start a Business' show for Omagh
Advice and support to encourage local people to ‘go for it’ will be available at Invest NI’s Western Start a Business show, which takes place a week on Friday.
The show, based in Omagh Leisure Centre, is the culmination of Western Enterprise Week and will provide a one-stop shop offering support and advice for established and growing businesses, or anyone interested in or thinking of starting a business.
“This show will be an ideal opportunity for anyone thinking of or interested in starting, growing or developing a business to get the help, support, encouragement and advice they need to go for it,” said Patricia Devine of Invest Northern Ireland’s Western Local Office.
“The show will cater for businesses focused on local markets as well as those with export and global potential. Over 550 businesses started in the western region last year and we are keen to encourage more and help those who have to grow.”
A series of events are planned for the week running up to the show in Enniskillen, Dungannon, Cookstown, Strabane and Omagh.
Tricia Stewart, the driving force behind the alternative WI Calendar and Jacqueline de Baer, the founder of the de Baer Plc corporate clothing company, will speak at the Start a Business Show in Omagh.
Other events taking place during the week including workshops on employing migrant workers, advice on how Invest NI’s Design Directorate can help your business, a Best Practice Club on renewal energy and a seminar on setting up a franchise and franchising out your business.
Further information on the event at Omagh Leisure Centre can be found by contacting 0808 127 0000.
