Man attacked during carjacking

A man has been “viciously” kicked and punched during a carjacking in Lisburn at the weekend.

The 22-year old man was driving his silver Citroen Zara car along Woodland Park at around 7.20pm on Saturday when a red Cavalier swerved in front causing him to stop. Two males then got out of the Cavalier, dragged the victim from his car and viciously punched and kicked him before stealing his vehicle. The Cavalier also sped off but was found on fire a short time later by police at Brokerstown Road.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them on 028 9266 5212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
