Security vehicle robbed in south Belfast
Police have appealed for information following the robbery of a security vehicle in south Belfast on Friday.
Shortly before 10am the vehicle was making a delivery to an address on the Lisburn Road when a man, who is thought to have been armed with a handgun, approached a security employee and stole a cash box.
He then made off in what is thought to have been a red Hyundai car. No one was injured during the incident.
The assailant is described as being around 5’ 8’ in height, of slim build and approximately 30-years-old, and was wearing a baseball cap, blue jeans and jacket.
Anyone with information or may have seen the red Hyundai car in or around the area at the time of the incident is asked to contact detectives on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Three People Charged Over Six-Car Collision In North Belfast
Three people have been charged in connection with a six-car collision in north Belfast. The crash happened on the Crumlin Road on Tuesday, 03 July. Police had been pursuing a stolen car after it failed to stop and caused a six-car pile up. Five people and a child had to receive hospital treatment.
