Camelot search for £7m Belfast Lotto winner

National lottery organisers Camelot have urged the Northern Ireland holder of a £7 million winning lottery ticket to claim their prize.

The winning ticket, which was bought in Belfast for the Lotto Extra draw held on 7 August 2004, expires at 5.30pm on Thursday.

The winner matched all six numbers; 3, 5, 8, 18, 28 and 48, to win £7,039,469, however, if the winner does not come forward, the money will become the biggest unclaimed prize in the history of the lottery.

The win is part of £16.3 million worth of unclaimed prizes from tickets bought in Kent, Lancashire, Gloucestershire and West Midlands.

Anyone who believes they have a winning ticket is urged to call the National Lottery line on 0845 910 0000.

Last year, Belfast woman Iris Jeffrey, 58, became the biggest single winner in the history of the Lottery after she scooped the £20 million jackpot prize.

It was later revealed that Ms Jeffrey was undergoing treatment for cancer which has since been in remission. In a statement, the west Belfast mother-of-two said she felt she had been given "a second chance" in life.
