Incendiary device discovered in supermarket

Police have again urged management and staff of local businesses in Co Tyrone to remain vigilant following the discovery of an incendiary device at the weekend.

The device was found in a supermarket on the Branch Road in Strabane in the early hours of Sunday morning.

"At a time when many people are doing their utmost in promoting our town there are those who are hell bent trying to destroy it," he said.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about Sunday’s incident to contact detectives on 028 71 367 337 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
