Nominations open for Asian womens' awards
Last year Belfast-based Anita Bharucha was shortlisted for The Public Sector Award at the Asian Women of Achievement Awards for her work as head of the rights and international relations division of the Northern Ireland office commissioner of the Women’s National Commission.
Now nominations are open for the 2005 awards, and for the second year running recruitment consultants, kmc international will be sponsoring the public sector award.
This award is aimed at Asian women who have achieved success within senior executive and non-executive roles in the civil service, quangos, universities, the health service and other national institutions.
The 2004 winner of award was Naaz Coker, who since November 1998 has been Chair of the British Refugee Council, the largest charitable organisation in the UK and in 2003, the NHS Appointments Commission appointed her Chair of St. Georges Healthcare NHS trust.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an informal interview with the judges for their category on Monday April 11.
