Man stabbed in north Belfast
A 47-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed at a house in north Belfast last night.
The incident occurred at the house in Cultra Street in the loyalist Tiger’s Bay area shortly after 9pm.
The man was taken by ambulance to hospital suffering from multiple stab wounds to his back although his condition is not believed to be life threatening.
One woman has been arrested and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Police believe the stabbing may have been a domestic incident.
Elsewhere, in Belfast, a 24-year-old man has been taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg following what appears to have been a paramilitary-style shooting in the east of the city.
The incident occured in an alleyway close to the Beersbridge Road shortly before 10pm.
Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact police on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Waringstown man stabbed during robbery
A man in his 60s has been stabbed during a robbery at his home in Co Down. The victim was getting out of his car on the Ballymabracken Road in Waringstown at around 6.30pm on Thursday when two masked men attacked him. The ensuing struggle saw the man stabbed in the chest and leg.

Man knifed in head in County Antrim
A man has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed in the head during an incident in Armoy in County Antrim, yesterday evening. The victim, believed to be in his 50's suffered stab wounds to the head and arm during the attack, which happened in the Carrowreagh Road area of the village, at around 6pm.

Man Killed In Farming Incident
A man has died in a farming accident in Co Fermanagh. The victim, 71, is thought to have been attacked by cattle on his farm near Ballinamallard. The incident happened over the weekend. An investigation is now being carried out by the Health and Safety Executive.

Man, 63, Stabbed In East Belfast
A 63-year-old man has been attacked at his home in east Belfast. The man sustained several stab wounds during the incident. Police believe two men broke into the Kyle Street house at 4am this morning. The elderly resident suffered injuries to the chest leg and arm in the attack.

Four People Stabbed In Co Down
Four people have been injured in a stabbing attack in Co Down. The incident happened at a house in the Queens Park area of Saintfield at around 3.40am on Sunday, 11 March. A woman sustained serious injuries and is receiving hospital treatment. Three men were also taken to hospital to be treated.
