West Belfast teenager shot in paramilitary-style 'crucifixion'

A paramilitary-style shooting in west Belfast last night (Tuesday January 11) has left a 19-year-old man in hospital with gunshot wounds to both hands.

The man was shot in Westhill Way after being taken from a house in Gortnamona Way sometime before 11.30pm.

Investigating officers at Grosvenor Road Police Station have appealed for anyone with information about the shooting to contact them on 028 9065 0222, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Meanwhile £16,000 worth of counterfeit goods were seized during a police search at Silverstream Crescent in north Belfast yesterday afternoon.

No arrests were made following discovery of the haul, which included DVDs, CDs, computer games and computer equipment.

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was shot dead in west Belfast. The attack happened at a house in Glenwood Court, Poleglass, at around 8.15pm on Thursday, 20 October. He has been named locally as Joe Reilly, aged 43.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of Colin Horner
A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner in Bangor, Co Down. Mr Horner was fatally shot outside a supermarket in from of his young son on 28 May this year. The suspect has been taken to Musgrave police station to be questioned.

Police Appeal After Man Shot Dead In Bangor
Police are appealing for information following the murder of Colin Horner, who was shot in front of his three-year-old son at Sainbury's car park in Bangor on Sunday, 28 May. The boy was in the car at the time of the attack. It is understood Mr Horner, originally from Co Antrim, has loyalist links.
