Woman dies in road traffic accident

A woman has died following a car accident in Co Antrim on Monday.

Police have not yet released the name of the 57-year-old victim who died from her injuries in hospital a short time later.

The incident occurred on the Gallagh Road in Toomebridge at about 7pm when the woman’s car was in collision with another vehicle.

The driver of the other car was uninjured.

Serious Road Accident In L'Derry
Police are appealing for witnesses of a serious road accident in Maghera, Co L'Derry, on Sunday night. A man in his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital following the two car collision on the Coleraine Road. It is understood a number of people were injured in the collision but none of them seriously.
