Cannabis seized by police in north Belfast

Detectives from the PSNI Drugs Squad have recovered over 100 kilos of cannabis resin with a street value of £1.5 million in North Belfast on Thursday.

The haul was recovered from a white transit van that was stopped by officers on the Fortwilliam Roundabout shortly before 11am.

One man has been arrested and is currently helping police with their enquiries.

Elsewhere on Thursday, police are appealing for information after three migrant workers were attacked and robbed in Co Londonderry.

The men, believed to be from Poland, were verbally abused before being attacked by a group of men at Anderson Park in Coleraine at around 6.30pm on Thursday.

One man required stitches to an ear wound while the other two men were treated for head injuries following the attack.

The attackers made off with a mobile phone, bank card, a passport and a watch.

Police Appeal After Man Attacked In Co Antrim
Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The assault happened in the North Road area at around 3.30am on Sunday, 29 January. A gang of four or five men attacked the victim, aged 37. He was taken to hospital where his condition has been described as "serious".
