Website launched to help employers fill vacancies
Local employers can now advertise vacancies and manage their recruitment process on-line, through a new website launched by the Department for Employment and Learning.
The website at www.employersonlineni.com has been created to enable employers to notify, manage and receive applications for their vacancies online. The vacancies, once logged on the site, go live almost immediately, ensuring all vacancies registered are up to date.
The site is the latest addition to the Department’s JobCentreOnline project, which has already seen the introduction of an interactive internet jobs site and touch screens located in all Jobs and Benefits Offices.
Welcoming the new site, Employment and Learning Minister, Barry Gardiner, said: “In today’s highly competitive market-place, employers need to be able to reach as wide a pool of potential employees as possible. Doing this effectively and efficiently is also imperative to enable them to fill their vacancies promptly and with the right calibre of candidate.
“This new site will enable organisations throughout Northern Ireland to do just that. The fact that the system updates every 15 minutes ensures that once vacancies are notified they are almost instantly being viewed by those searching for new employment. Customers at Jobs and Benefits Offices and JobCentres, or those logging onto www.jobcentreonline.com, will be able to view all details of the post and start the application process immediately.”
Further information on the new site can be found online at the above address or by phoning freephone 0800 3289135.
