Boy forced from car by thieves

Thieves forced a young boy from his father’s car last night at a garage forecourt in Co Armagh.

The 11-year-old boy was sitting in the vehicle waiting for his father, who was paying for petrol, when the men forced the boy from the car and drove off.

The incident took place at a garage at Junction 10 on the M1 near Lurgan.

Elsewhere overnight, two people have been arrested following an attack on a woman in Londonderry early on Friday morning.

The woman was standing outside a cinema on Strand Road at around 2.30am when she was pushed to the ground before being kicked in the face and head.

The victim is currently being in hospital for her injuries.

Police Appeal After Boy Hit By Car In Co Down
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a five-year-old boy was hit by a car in Co Down. The crash happened in the Malcolmson Park area in Magheralin just after 4.45pm on Thursday, 12 January. He is believed to be in a stable condition in hospital. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

Teenage Boy Dies Following Motorbike Crash
A teenage boy has died in a motorbike collision in Co L'Derry. The crash occurred in the Magilligan area at around 1.20pm on Thursday, 25 August. The 13-year-old boy was airlifted by the Irish Coastguard in Sligo. He was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital but later died.

Police Helicopter Finds Boys Lost On Black Mountain
A police helicopter has rescued two twelve-year-old boys from Black Mountain in west Belfast Police responded to a call at around 15:15 on Saturday, finding to the boys within thirty minutes. One of the rescue crew helped the pair to safety. Neither boy suffered any injuries and they were returned home by a police patrol.
