Gun held to woman’s head in Co Derry

Police are appealing for information after a gun was held to a woman’s head during an incident at a house in Co Londonderry on Monday.

Five masked men, claiming to be from the INLA, forced their way into the house in Drumleck Drive, Shantallow.

The gang, one armed with a handgun and others with baseball bats, pointed the gun at the 39-year-old woman's face and asked about a man who was not in the house at the time before fleeing the property.

Police have called for anyone with information to contact them.

Elsewhere, a 29-year-old man was shot in a paramilitary style incident in north Belfast on Monday.

The victim was shot in the thigh in the Forthriver area of the city at about 10pm and later received treatment in hospital.

A man has escaped injury after a shot was fired at a house in Coalisland, Co Tyrone. The incident took place in Pinebank Gardens shortly before 9pm on Sunday night, 08 December. The front window of the house was damaged, however a man who was inside at the time was uninjured.

Man Shot In Both Legs As He Slept In L'Derry
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in L'Derry. Police have said that shortly midnight, three masked men forced their way into a house on Kildrum Gardens. Two of the men entered a bedroom where a man was asleep, shooting him once in each leg. The man is currently being treated in hospital.

Man Shot And Beaten In Bushmills Attack
The PSNI have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of following a shooting incident in the Woodvale Park area of Bushmills last night, Wednesday 11th May. Shortly after 11.10pm it was reported that a number of masked men entered a house armed with a gun and "wooden weapons".

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
