Family escape injury in shooting
A family have escaped injury after a number of shots were fired at their home in Co Down early this morning.
Two shotgun blasts were fired at the house in Stream Park, Kilkeel, smashing through the living room window, at about 2.30am.
A man, a woman and an infant were in another part of the house when the shooting occurred.
Police said they did not believe the attack was sectarian or racially motivated but have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 028 9065 0222.

Belfast Hotel Plan Dropped: Report
A government-supported plan to build a hotel in central Belfast has been scrapped, the BBC has reported. Back in 2007, the Department for Social Development appointed Tullymore House Ltd as preferred developer for Armagh House in the city’s Ormeau Avenue, with plans to convert the building into an upmarket hotel.

A family have escaped injury after a shot was fired at their home in Craigavon, Co Armagh. The incident happened at a house in the Lakeview Court area shortly after 10pm on Wednesday, 30 November. The shot was fired through the kitchen window of the property. Ulster Unionist Doug Beattie MC MLA expressed serious concern.
