Mother and son escape injury in firework attack
A woman and her eight-year-old son have been left "badly shaken" after a firework was thrown through the kitchen window of their Co Tyrone home on Sunday.
It is understood a stone was used to break a rear window before the firework was thrown into the house at Northland Village, Dungannon, causing damage to the kitchen.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Northland Village around 7am and may have witnessed or heard anything suspicious.
They would also like to speak to anyone who may have noticed a vehicle speeding away along Gortmerron Link Road, which is located at the back of the house, around the time of the incident.
Police would also urge any member of staff going to or, returning home from work at a nearby food processing factory who may be able to assist with on-going police enquiries, to contact them on 028 8775 2525.
