Body found in burnt-out car

Police have launched an investigation into the death of a man whose body was found in a burnt-out car in Co Tyrone in the early hours of this morning.

A post-mortem is to due be carried out on the body which was found shortly after midnight on Tuesday, close to the Mullyneill Road in Caledon.

The area around the vehicle had been cordoned off a short time beforehand following reports of a fire.

Police say they are not treating the man’s death as suspicious.

Police have issued an appeal for the parents of a baby boy found dead on the banks of the River Lagan on 21 February 1984. A woman out walking her dog found the babies body inside a green plastic bag at Legacurry Road in Lisburn 30 years ago. A post-mortem examination found that the baby had died of head injuries.

Woman arrested following body find
A woman has been arrested after the body of a man was found in Londonderry last night. The body of the 49-year-old man was found at a house in Elaghmore Park, Galliagh, shortly before 7pm on Wednesday. There are no further details at present.

Man Arrested After Body Found In Lisburn
A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was discovered in a car in Lisburn. A man was found dead in the Limehurst Way area at around 4.20pm on Monday, 26 September. Police are treating the death as suspicious. A post-mortem is to be carried out to determine the cause of death.

Man's Body Found At Carrickfergus Marina
Police have launched an investigation after a man's body was discovered at Carrickfergus Marina, Co Antrim. His body was found in the early hours of Friday morning. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
