M&S to recruit 550 new staff over Xmas

Marks & Spencer will recruit over 550 new staff in the run up to Christmas, it has been announced today.

The company said it would be looking to employ 552 extra Customer Assistants to work in its stores, coffee shops and warehouses across Northern Ireland.

Richard Bennett, Marks & Spencer’s Group Head of Recruitment, said: “We’re looking for enthusiastic, flexible people to join our active team and make our stores as festive and welcoming as possible.”

In return for working at least 16 hours a week, including a minimum of one weekday evening, as well as at weekends, the company said it would be providing a competitive benefits package, including a Christmas discount card.
