Mother and two sons attacked at home
A mother and her two sons have been attacked at their house in Co Antrim on Thursday.
Two masked men attacked the 46-year-old woman and her sons outside their Moss Side Gardens home, near Ballymoney, at about 11pm.
The two men followed the eldest son, aged 22, into the house beating him with iron or wooden bars before attacking his 20-year-old brother and mother.
All three were taken to hospital where they were treated for leg and arm injuries.
Police said the do not believe the attack was sectarian and have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.

Mother-of-six jailed after breaking sons ribs
A mother-of-six has been jailed for eight months after pleading guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm and wilful neglect on her 11-month old son. The 32-year-old Belfast woman, who cannot be identified to protect her son, appeared before Belfast Crown Court on Friday accused of shaking her baby so hard she broke nine of his ribs.

Elderly mother and daughter attacked during robbery
Police are appealing for information after a 96-year-old mother and her 65-year-old daughter were attacked during a robbery in Co Down yesterday. The two women where attacked by two men who apparently followed them into their Gilford home at around 2.20pm yesterday.

Family's grief one year on
On the first anniversary of the death of Catholic teenager Michael McIlveen, his family has spoken of their continuing grief and have had a reunion with ex-DUP mayor Councillor Tommy Nicholl. The 15-year-old died after a vicious assault in Ballymena. Five teenagers have been remanded in custody charged with his murder.
