Police investigate possible racist attack

Police believe a petrol bomb attack on a house in Armagh on Tuesday night may have been racially motivated.

Two devices were thrown through a front living room window of the house in Alexander Park in the city at around 10pm.

No one was injured in the attack, however scorch damage was caused to the living room window.

Police have taken a number of items away for scientific examination.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

House Damaged In Petrol Bomb attack
A house in Larne has been damaged in a petrol bomb attack, according to police. It happened on Church Way at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. A man was in the house at the time but was unhurt. Minor damage was caused to the property and a window was smashed. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Shot In Co L'Derry
A man has been shot in the ankle in Co L'Derry. The paramilitary-style attack happened near the Creggan shops at around 7.45pm on Thursday, 07 December. The 41-year-old man has been taken to hospital to be treated, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Police described the shooting as "brutal and horrific".

Recreation centre damaged in arson attack
Police are treating a fire at a recreation centre in County Down as malicious. The incident happened at a football club in the Langley Road area of Ballynahinch just before 3am this morning.

Spanish police arrest IRA bombing suspect
Spanish police have arrested a man in connection with the bombing of an army barracks in Lisburn eight years ago. Michael Gerard Rogan, 44, from Easton Avenue in north Belfast, was arrested in the holiday resort of Playa de las Americas in Tenerife on Monday.
