Man injured in paramilitary style shooting

A 20-year-old man has been treated in hospital for gun shot wounds to his arms, legs and one hand following a paramilitary style shooting in east Belfast early this morning.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Thursday morning after police and ambulance crews were called to a walkway between Mersey Street and Severn Street.

Police at Strandtown have appealed for anyone with information about the shooting to contact them on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Man Arrested In Bangor Shooting Investigation
A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the attempted murder of two men in Bangor. The male victims, aged 24 and 33, were shot as they sat in a car in the Eastway area of the Whitehill estate at about 00:45 on 10 February. UTV has reported that the UVF are thought to have been behind the attack.

Investigation Launched Into 'Paramilitary Style Shooting'
The PSNI have launched an investigation after a man was shot in both legs on Sunday. It is understood that a 24-year-old was in a "paramilitary style shooting" in Flax Street, north Belfast. He is being treated in hospital, where his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Man Attacked In Co L'Derry
A man, aged in his 30s, has been injured after being attacked in Dungiven, Co L'Derry. The assault happened in the Main Street area in the early hours of Sunday morning, 15 October. An 18-year-old has been arrested and has been detained in police custody. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Dungannon Attack Victim Dies
A murder enquiry has been launched after the death of a 20-year-old man in hospital two days after he was assaulted in Dungannon town centre. The victim was Donatas Velicka, who lived at the Willows in the town but was originally from Lithuania. He was beaten up about 12.45am on Sunday morning outside an off-licence in Scotch Street.

Police Appeal After Shots Fired At House In West Belfast
Shots have been fired at a property in west Belfast. The shooting occurred at a house in Norglen Drive in the early hours of Friday morning. Two men, who were in the house at the time of the incident, were not injured. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
