Newsagent staff threatened in Co Antrim
Staff have been threatened at two branches of a newsagents in Co Antrim at the weekend.
The incidents occurred at shops in William Street and Broughshane Street in Ballymena at around 9am on Sunday.
In the William Street store a man in his 30s threatened staff with a knife before escaping with a sum of money.
At around the same time a man armed with a syringe entered a shop in Broughshane Street and threatened staff before escaping with cash.
Police have appealed for anyone with information on either incident to contact them.

Police In Cookstown Appeal For Witnesses To Machete Robbery

The incident happened at premises on the Crumlin Road at around 7.35pm on Sunday. The man, armed with a knife, threatened staff and made off with a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol.

It is understood that two men armed with a gun and a knife threatened staff at a shop on Coolkeeran Road at about 19:00 on Saturday. The men made off with a quantity of cash and cigarettes. No-one was injured in the incident.
