'Dangerous' heart medication stolen from car

Police are appealing for information after medication was stolen from a man's car in north Belfast on Thursday.

The heart medication has been described by police as "dangerous" if it is not taken as prescribed.

The incident occurred in the Antrim Road area of the city at around 1pm just before the man returned to his vehicle only to discover that the driver's sidedoor lock had been tampered with.

A mobile phone, a quantity of personnel papers and a sum of money were also stolen during the theft.

In a similar but unrelated incident a box full of prescription type drugs have been stolen from a van on the Shankill Road.

The incident occurred late on Wednesday evening and police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

Police are appealing for information after suspected stolen goods were recovered from a southern registered white Transit van on the M1 in Belfast. Around 30 bottles of whiskey and vodka were found and police are seeking to find where they came from.

Six police officers have been injured following a creeper burglary in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim. A stolen car rammed into three police vehicles during a pursuit. Four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and two of them are also suspected of motoring offences.

Suspected Stolen Car Crashes In Lurgan
Three men have been arrested after a suspected stolen car was involved in a collision in Lurgan. The incident occurred on the Silverwood Road on Thursday at around 2.30pm. The car crashed into a police vehicle after it failed to stop on the Thornberry Road before making off.
