Four injured in separate road incidents

Three people have been injured, one seriously, following a road traffic accident in Co Tyrone.

One car was involved in the incident which occurred in the Lurganboy Road area of Castlederg in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Elsewhere, a woman has been injured in a hit-and-run incident in Londonderry at the weekend.

The woman was treated for minor injuries after being knocked down by a dark-coloured car in the Irish Street area of the city early on Saturday.

Police have appealed for information on either incident.

Three critically injured in road traffic incidents
A man has been hurt in another hit and run incident in north Belfast on Sunday night. The latest victim, who is 48-years-old, was struck by a car which mounted the pavement at the junction of Union Street and Library Street. He suffered a broken pelvis and hip and police are treating it as attempted murder.

Two policemen injured in separate hit-and-run incidents
Two policemen have been injured following separate hit-and-run incidents in south Belfast early this morning. In the first incident an officer was injured as he responded to investigate a report of a burglary at Rossmore Park off the Ormeau Road shortly before 4am.

Number Of Roads Remain Closed Following Storm Ali
A number of roads remain closed across Northern Ireland following the damage caused by Storm Ali. The following roads are still closed, however the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) is working to clear the obstructions along with its multiagency partners.
