Co Tyrone man remanded on petrol bomb charges
A Co Tyrone man has been remanded in custody over charges in connection with a petrol bomb attack in Dungannon town centre on Saturday.
The accused, Gary Ashley Smyth, 21, whose address was given as Lisnaclin Court, Dungannon was charged with posession of a petrol bomb, and intent to cause damage to property in Market Square belonging to Dungannon District Council.
The allegations centre on an incident in Dungannon where a device was thrown at a group of Portuguese people, none of whom were injured in the attack.
The accused who appeared before Fermanagh magistrates on Monday was remanded in custody to appear before Dungannon Magistrates Court on August 25.

Investigation Launches After Two Petrol Bomb Attacks In Dungannon
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following two petrol bomb attacks in the Dungannon area in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 30th May. At approximately 3.25am police received a report of a car on fire in the Spout Road area of Fivemiletown.

Houses damaged in separate petrol bomb attacks
Two houses have been attacked in separate petrol bomb attacks in Belfast and Downpatrick. In north Belfast, a device was thrown through a glass pane in the front door of a house on the Crumlin Road at around 11pm last night. In Downpatrick, a house in the Mount Crescent area suffered scorch damage in the early hours of Friday morning.
