Police investigate possible racist attack

Police are appealing for information following an attack on a house in south Belfast at the weekend.

A racist motive is one of those being investigated by police after stones were thrown at the house, which is thought to be owned by persons of eastern European origin, on the Donegall Road shortly before 9pm on Sunday.

No-one was injured in the attack while one window was broken.

Meanwhile, a 34-year-old man, also thought to be from eastern Europe, has been assaulted outside his home in Armagh on Saturday.

The attack, in the Alexander area of the city, left the man with fractures to his ribs and upper body.

Up to seven people, including two women, are thought to have been behind the attack.
