Police in counterfeit goods operation
Police have released details of a successful operation against counterfeit thieves in Co Armagh last week.
Approximately £600,000 worth of counterfeit goods where seized at a house in Portadown following a joint search operation by local police and the organised crime squad on Friday.
Equipment seized included computer hardware and video/CD/DVD/MP3 players and copying equipment, as well as a substantial quantity of counterfeit DVDs, videos and CDs.
There are no further details at present.

Counterfeit goods seized at Auld Lammas Fair
Around £100,000 of counterfeit goods have been seized at the Auld Lammas Fair in Ballycastle. Throughout the two day police operation, illegal goods including sunglasses, clothes, and football wristbands were recovered. Police have said that a number of individuals are to be reported to the Public Prosecution Service.

Six men arrested in counterfeit goods seizure
Six men have been arrested after counterfeit goods worth an estimated £60,000 were seized in south Belfast at the weekend. CD’s, DVD’s and cigarettes were all seized during the planned police operation at a car boot sale in the Village area on Sunday.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the sale of suspected counterfeit goods. Over 1000 items of suspected counterfeit clothing, footwear and electrical equipment were seized during a police search operation on the Glenavy area in the early hours of Sunday, 14 January.
