Gay men find 'death threat' letter on doorstep
Two gay men living in the Waterside area of Londonderry have received death threats, the BBC has reported today.
The men found a letter on their doorstep, signed by the UDA, ordering the pair to leave the area within the next two weeks. A similar threat had also been graffitied on the wall of the men's residence.
Police are now examining the letter.

Two men have been arrested over alleged death threats sent to Oldham manager Darren Kelly from Northern Ireland. Greater Manchester Police arrested a 27-year-old man and 42-year-old man on suspicion of making threats to kill. They are being detained by the police for questioning.

Two Men Attacked With Baseball Bats In Co Antrim
Two 18-year-old men have been attacked with baseball bats in Whitehead, Co Antrim. The victims were closing premises in the Balmoral Avenue area at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 04 October when three men assaulted them. Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries. One has been discharged, and the other remains in hospital.

Appeal For Information On Aggravated Burglary In Cookstown
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a report of an aggravated burglary at the Queens Avenue area of Cookstown on Friday 3rd February. Shortly after 10pm, it was reported that four masked men entered a property in the area with one of the men armed with an iron bar and another man armed with a suspected firearm.

Exiled man returns to Province
A man who was forced to leave Northern Ireland by the IRA has reportedly returned home. Joseph McCloskey, 30, fled Londonderry in April 2001 after receiving death threats from the IRA following an incident in which he and his uncle, Danny McBrearty, fired shots at a gang armed with guns who where trying to break into his house.
