Man Arrested Following Aggravated Burglary In Bangor
A man has been arrested following an aggravated burglary in Bangor in the early hours of Friday morning.
Police received a report at approximately 3:40am that a man armed with a hammer had entered a house in the Skipperstone Road area and assaulted a man and woman inside the property.
Both victims were taken to hospital for treatment of their injuries. A 22-year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of aggravated burglary, grievous bodily harm with intent, threats to kill, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He remains in police custody.
"I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the attack or to anyone with CCTV, doorbell or other footage that could assist with enquiries to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 86 14/02/24," said Detective Sergeant Bell.
Alternatively, information can also be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

Man Arrested Over Aggravated Burglary Released
A man arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary in west Belfast has been released. Three men forced their way into a house in the Earlscourt Street area shortly before 9pm on Friday, 08 December. The suspects had a gun and made demands before running off, according to the PSNI.
