Police Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Collision In Co Armagh

PSNI Detectives investigating a fatal collision on the Killylea Road on 27 December, 2024, are seeking information from potential witnesses.

Two men tragically lost their lives in a two-vehicle collision involving a dark grey Audi and a black Mercedes on the Killylea Road outside Killylea, County Armagh. Four other individuals, including a baby, were also injured, with one woman sustaining serious injuries.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and one count of causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving.

As part of their ongoing investigation, detectives are appealing for information from two specific groups of individuals:

• Occupants of a white or light-coloured Nissan Qashqai SUV: Police are seeking to speak with the occupants of this type of vehicle who were travelling towards Killylea from the direction of Armagh at approximately 12:40pm on the day of the collision.

• Occupants of a dark-coloured people carrier: Police are also appealing for information from the occupants of a dark-coloured people carrier who stopped at the scene of the collision.

Inspector Cherith Adair from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Collision Investigation Unit said: "We believe these people have important information that may be able to assist with our enquiries.

"Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances of the collision, and would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam or other footage which could assist with our enquiries. Woman Dies Following Collision In Newtownabbey
A woman has died in hospital following a collision on the Doagh Road in Newtownabbey on Monday, 13th January. Shortly before 6.15pm, police received a report of a collision involving a grey Seat Ateca and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 80s, was taken to hospital but has since died as a result of her injuries.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a fatal collision in Maghera on Thursday 01 December. Police have reported that a man, aged in his 50s, died following a road traffic collision on the Moneysharvan Road on Thursday, 1st December.
