Woman Dies Following Collision In Newtownabbey
A woman has died in hospital following a collision on the Doagh Road in Newtownabbey on Monday, 13th January.
Shortly before 6.15pm, police received a report of a collision involving a grey Seat Ateca and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 80s, was taken to hospital but has since died as a result of her injuries.
Detectives from the Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses. Inspector Cherith Adair said: "Shortly before 6.15pm we received a report of a collision involving a grey Seat Ateca and a pedestrian.
"Officers attended, and the pedestrian, a woman aged in her 80s, was taken to hospital, however has since died from her injuries.
"Detectives from the Collision Investigation Unit are investigating and anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone with footage that could assist with enquiries, is asked to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference 1306 of 13/01/25."

A male pedestrian has died in a serious road traffic collision in south Belfast. The man was hit by a car on the Saintfield Road in the Carryduff area at around 1.45pm on Thursday, 31 August. The Saintfield Road at the junction with the Baronscourt Road was closed for some time, however it has now been reopened.

A woman has died in a one-vehicle crash in Co Fermanagh. The collision happened on the Newbridge Road in Derrylin just after midnight on Saturday. Another woman and a man were taken to hospital to be treated. Their injuries are believed to be serious. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Woman Dies After Being Struck By Car In Comber
A woman has died following a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Comber, Co Down, on Saturday, 23 February. Police were called to the Ballygowan Road area of the town shortly before 4:45 pm following a report of a collision involving a car and a female pedestrian. The pedestrian died at the scene from her injuries.
