Upcoming NI Hospital Reconfiguration Framework Events
Members of the public are being encouraged to attend events as part of the hospital reconfiguration framework consultation.
The consultation, Hospitals – Creating a Network for Better Outcomes, aims to address a number of areas including the need for hospital reconfiguration, how hospitals can work together for better outcomes, where services are and how people can get the services they need in a sustainable way.
The open invitation was made by the Department of Health, with the next public meeting set to take place in the Western Health and Social Care Trust area, in Omagh, County Tyrone, on Wednesday, January 15.
The dates and locations of all upcoming meetings are:
• Western Trust: Silverbirch Hotel, 5 Gortin Rd, Omagh, Co Tyrone, BT79 7DH, on Wednesday, January 15 from 7-9pm.
• Belfast Trust: Ramada by Wyndham Hotel, Talbot Street, Belfast, BT1 2LD, on Tuesday, January 21 from 7-9pm. • Northern Trust: Tullyglass Hotel, 178 Galgorm Road, Ballymena, BT42 1HJ, on Wednesday, February 5 from 7-9pm.
• Southern Trust: Armagh City Hotel, 2 Friary Road, Armagh, BT60 4FR, on Tuesday, February 18 from 7-9pm.
• Open to All: Online, on Tuesday, February 11 from 7-9pm.
The meetings will provide information about the proposals, answer questions from the public and encourage participation in the consultation process.

The consultation deadline has now been extended until February 28.

Police Issue Fresh Appeal For Missing Larne Man
An appeal for the whereabouts of a missing 45 year-old Larne man has been reissued by police. Gary Patterson was reported missing on Friday, December 20, but was last seen almost 3 months ago, on Saturday, October 12, in Larne. Mr Patterson has links to the Larne and Belfast areas.

A number of schools across Northern Ireland were forced to close today as a result of adverse weather conditions. Click here to view the full list of impacted schools. The MET Office has issued a status Yellow warning across counties Antrim, Down, L'Derry and Tyrone, which is in effect from 4pm today until 10am tomorrow morning.
