Police Investigating After Brick Thrown At Car

Police are investigating a report of criminal damage after a brick was thrown through the rear passenger window of a car in the Main Street area of Cullybackey on Sunday afternoon, 5th January.

The incident occurred at approximately 4.45pm near a building site. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Witnesses observed two young people running from the scene in the direction of Main Street towards Tobar Park following the incident.

Police conducted patrols of the immediate area but were unable to locate the suspects. Investigations are ongoing, and police will continue to conduct routine patrols in the area.

Neighbourhood Inspector Parkes said: "We would appeal to anyone who witnessed what happened or who has dash-cam or other video footage of the area to contact us on the non-emergency number 101 and quote reference number 870 05/01/25."

Man Arrested Over Murder Of George Gilmore
A 39-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The suspect was detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 12 April, and is being questioned at Musgrave police station.

A police officer has been disciplined after failing to properly investigate an allegation that a man annoyed by children playing football near his car, attacked a 12-year-old boy by kicking him on the hand.

Man Stabbed In North Belfast
Police have launched an investigation after a 35-year-old man was stabbed in an attack in north Belfast on Thursday. The man was assaulted by two men in the early hours, just before 04:20, at Brookhill Avenue. Police said the man was stabbed in his left arm and left leg and also had his wallet taken in the incident.
