Two Men Charged With Murder Of Karen Cummings
Two men have been charged with the murder of Karen Cummings in Banbridge.
The 32-year-old and 42-year-old men appeared before Newry Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday, 18 December.
The 32-year-old is charged with murder, while the 42-year-old faces charges of murder, firearms offences, and handling stolen goods.
The two men were remanded in custody to appear before court again on 09 January. Karen Cummings was found unconscious in the Laurel Heights area of Banbridge on Saturday, 14 December. She was pronounced dead a short time later.

Taxis Now Allowed To Use City Centre Bus Lanes
Taxis in Belfast can now use a number of the city's bus lanes over the festive period, in an effort to address significant congestion in the city centre. Infrastructure Minister John O'Dowd announced a Temporary Traffic Regulation to allow Class A and Class C taxis to use certain lanes, effective from 6am this morning, Wednesday 18 December 2024.

More than 200 young people in Northern Ireland are set to benefit from a sports-based community programme aimed at creating positive social change. The 'Stay Onside Community Engagement Programme', run by the Irish Football Association Foundation, has received over £58,000 from the Assets Recovery Community Scheme (ARCS).

Pedestrian Injured In Newcastle Road Collision
Police are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Newcastle on Tuesday, 17th December. A woman in her 70s was struck by a car on Donard Street at approximately 12.45pm. She was treated at the scene by paramedics and subsequently taken to hospital for further treatment.

Man Seriously Injured In Newry Burglary
Police are investigating a serious assault that occurred in Newry on Monday, 16th December. Two men, disguised with umbrellas and high-visibility vests, forced their way into a property on Patrick Street around 4pm. A 30-year-old man inside the house was seriously injured in an altercation.
