21 Year-Old Man Named In Fatal Temple Crash

Police have named 21-year-old David McDonald as the man who was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the Carryduff Road area of Temple, Lisburn, at the weekend.

A report was made to police on Saturday, December 14, at approximately 7.10pm of a collision at the location involving a blue Vauxhall Corsa.

A previously released statement from Roads Inspector Cherith Adair said: "Officers attended, alongside colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. Sadly, the passenger in the vehicle, a man aged in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"The driver of the vehicle, a man also aged in his 20s, sustained injuries not believed to be life-threatening."

The Carryduff Road closed overnight to allow for further enquiries but was reopened Sunday morning.

Police has appealed for witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam or other footage which could assist in their enquiries.
