Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In East Belfast Crash

A motorcyclist is in a serious condition in hospital following a crash in east Belfast on Wednesday evening.

Police received a report of a collision involving a car and a scrambler motorcycle on Bloomfield Road shortly before 5.30pm. Emergency services attended the scene, and the motorcyclist, a man in his late teens, was taken to hospital.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time of the crash, particularly those who may have captured dash-cam footage of the incident or of two scrambler motorcycles in the area between 5.15pm and 5.30pm.

Minister To Explore Potential Use Of Biofuels
The Economy Minister, Conor Murphy, has issued a Call for Evidence to explore the potential use of biofuels as an alternative to home heating oil and fossil-based LPG. Biofuels specifically Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) and Bio-Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Bio-LPG) can be used as an alternative heat source to fossil fuels.
