Alliance Calls for Stronger Anti-Bullying Measures in Schools

Alliance Education Spokesperson, Michelle Guy MLA, has called for a stronger focus on preventing bullying in schools. She believes that while the Addressing Bullying in Schools Act is a positive step, more needs to be done to address the root causes of bullying behavior.

Guy has urged the Department of Education to collect data on bullying incidents in schools to better understand the scale of the problem and inform targeted interventions. She also advocates for the implementation of a comprehensive anti-bullying program similar to FUSE in Ireland, which takes a whole-school approach to tackling bullying.
