Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November.
The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.
Sadly, one of the pedestrians succumbed to her injuries. The second pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The drivers of the vehicles involved were unharmed. Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Inspector Cherith Adair, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said:
"Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances of the collision and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or to anyone who may have captured dash-cam or other footage of the vehicles involved - a silver Volkswagen Tiguan and a grey Ford Kuga, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 1355 of 09/11/24, or submit information online at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/. "
