Two Seriously Injured In Comber Road Crash

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious two-vehicle road traffic collision in Comber on Wednesday, 6th November.

The incident occurred at approximately 9.40pm on the Belfast Road. A Volkswagen Tiguan and a Ford Focus were involved in the collision.

The driver of the Volkswagen Tiguan, a man in his 40s, is currently in hospital in a stable condition. Tragically, the driver of the Ford Focus, a man in his 20s, remains critical. A woman in her 20s, a passenger in one of the vehicles, sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road was closed for a period to allow emergency services to attend the scene but has since reopened.

Inspector Dalton said: "Our investigation is underway and anyone with information about what happened, or who has dash-cam, mobile or other footage can contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1725 06/11/24."
