Woman Found Dead In Donaghadee Home

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) are investigating the sudden death of a woman in the Rosepark area of Donaghadee.

Police received a report just after 7am on Monday, October 14th, that a woman in her 50s had been found deceased in a local residence.

The circumstances surrounding the woman's death are currently under investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil McGuinness said: "While our enquiries are at an early stage, I can confirm that a man, also aged in his 50s, has been arrested as part of our investigation and remains in custody at this time."

Detective Chief Inspector McGuinness is appealing to anyone who was in the Rosepark area between the night of Sunday 13 October and the morning of Monday 14 October, and who may have information that could assist the investigation to contact officers on 101. Please quote reference 214 of 14/10/24.

A post mortem will be carried out in due course.

Detectives from Legacy Investigation Branch, reviewing the murder of 35-year-old Stephen Warnock, in Newtownards in 2002, are appealing for information on the 22nd anniversary of his murder. Stephen died after being shot a number of times in his car while driving on the Circular Road in Newtownards at approximately 11.30 am on 13th September 2002.

Renewed Appeal On 31st Anniversary Of Peter McCormick Murder
Detectives from Legacy Investigation Branch have issued a fresh appeal for information on the 31st anniversary of the murder of Peter McCormick. On 19 November 1992, the 42 year old former teacher from Drumena Road in Kilcoo, was shot dead when two gunmen burst into the Thierafurth Inn and opened fire on customers inside at around 9pm.

Renewed Appeal On 22nd Anniversary of Arthur Berryman Murder
The PSNI's Legacy Investigation Branch have issued a fresh appeal for information on the 22nd anniversary of the murder Arthur Berryman. On Halloween night in 2001, 46-year-old Arthur was stabbed to death at his at his home at Imperial Street in the Woodstock area of Belfast at around 11.30pm.

Fresh Appeal For Information On 1993 Murder Of Brendan McKenna
Detectives from Legacy Investigation Branch have issued a fresh appeal for information on the murder of Brendan McKenna near Comber in June 1993, on what would have been Brendan's 58th birthday. Mr McKenna was shot dead by a gunman as he drove to a quarry on the Ballystockart Road, Comber on 2 June 1993.
