Robbery Investigation Underway In North Belfast

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery that occurred in north Belfast on Saturday evening, 05 October.

The incident took place around 7:45 PM at a commercial premises on the Crumlin Road. A masked man, dressed entirely in black, entered the establishment armed with a weapon. He confronted a staff member behind the counter, demanding money and threatening them with a knife.

The suspect proceeded to steal an undisclosed amount of cash from the till before fleeing the scene on foot. During the robbery, he assaulted two staff members, pushing one and causing a minor cut to the hand of another.

Detective Sergeant McAllister said: "The three staff members were understandably left shaken by what happened – this would have been a terrifying ordeal. Thankfully, the injuries were not serious.

"We have launched an investigation into this armed robbery and are asking the local community for its assistance in supporting our enquiries.

"If you were in the area last night and noticed anything suspicious, we would ask that you call us on 101 quoting reference number 1506 05/10/24.

"Anyone living in this general area or nearby is also asked to review your doorbell, CCTV or dash-cam footage. Your assistance is of great importance to us in our investigation."

Appeal After Cars Damaged In Hospital Carpark
