Man Found Dead On Warrenpoint Beach
Police are investigating the sudden death of a man found on Rostrevor Beach on Thursday morning.
The man was discovered by a member of the public around 7:25am on Thursday, October 3rd. His identity remains unknown.
The man is believed to be in his 60s. He was not carrying any identification and had no distinctive jewellry, tattoos, or piercings. Making an appeal for help in identifying the man, Inspector Connolly said: "We are hoping that these few details may strike a chord with someone and allow us to find out who this man is.
"I would ask anyone who believes they know this man's identity to please get in touch. I am also appealing to those with male family members or friends that may match this description that you have not seen in recent days, to please call them or check on them.
"We are not treating this death as suspicious but it is important that we can inform the man's loved ones of his passing.
"Police on 101, quoting reference number 211 03/10/24."

Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is.
