Appeal After 'Wanton Vandalism' Of Historic Train Carriages I Downpatrick

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses after a number of historical train carriages were damaged at a museum in Downpatrick.

It is believed that entry was gained to the site, at Market Street, some time on the afternoon of Friday, 20th September and a number of carriages within the museum were badly damaged.

Describing the incident "extremely distressing" for the volunteers at the museum, Local policing Inspector Connolly appealed to anyone with information or who may have witnessed anything suspicious, to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 642 21/09/24.

Man Arrested After Fleeing The Scene Of A Collision In Crossgar
A 35-year-old man has been arrested after fleeing the scene of a collision in Crossgar on Sunday, 22 September. At around 6.45pm, police received a report of a car on its roof in the Ballytrim Road area. Police attended and discovered the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene. A passenger remained in the vehicle with minor injuries.

Appeal Following Deliberate Fire In Moneyreagh
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a fire, believed to have been started deliberately, in Moneyreagh. Just after 11.30pm on Friday, 20th September, police received a report from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) that they were attending a fire at Ballybeen Road, Moneyreagh.
