Renewed Appeal On East Belfast Assault On 11 July

Police have renewed an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of an assault of a man, aged in his 60s, on the morning of Thursday, 11 July, near Clarawood Estate.

It was reported that at around 11am, the man was walking his dog in an area known locally as 'Marsh Wiggle' when he was assaulted by an unknown male.

This male was described as having grey hair, was of slim build, approximately 5'10" tall and possibly aged in his early fifties. He was wearing grey clothing and was accompanied by a teenage male and had two XL Bully type dogs with him when he is alleged to have assaulted the victim. The injured man sustained serious facial injuries and required hospital treatment following the attack.

Appeal For Information On Police Officer Assault
Police have renewed an appeal for information following an incident in Clogher in which two men, one of them a police officer, were assaulted. Issuing the appeal Sergeant Gracey said: "Shortly before 12.55am (on) Thursday 30 June, officers received and responded to a report of an assault at premises at Corick Road, Clogher.

Fermanagh Man Jailed For Indecent Assault Of A Child
A 60-year-old Fermanagh man has been sentenced at Dungannon Crown Court for seven counts of indecent assault against a child. Ronan Farrell was sentenced to four years and six months in prison. He will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register for an indefinite period and has been disqualified from ever working with children.
